In the late 60's I read a consumer news article that said
all stp did was thicken the oil. If you want thick
oil they said buy it thick. It might be different now, I don't
know, and I don't know if the article was correct, but I
remembered it. I just left from talking to a
seasoned enduro rider who says he runs some sort of synthetic
oil that goes to 80...I was agast. Her swears because it is
synthetic 80 weight it is okay. I have a real hard
time with that.
In the end, I give up. I just don't know, and I am not
convinced mc oil is any better then regular stuff.
I hope the mag's pick up your request and do some real in
depth testing.
